“If you’re alive, you’re a creative person” ~ Elizabeth Gilbert
workshops at collector cottage
Join us for a fun-filled, nature inspired workshop, in Collector, NSW.
With views of the Cullin range, the smell of the fresh country air and a smorgasbord of teas, you will happily pass away the hours creating a floral masterpiece of your very own in our creative and healing sanctuary.
With an ever-changing calendar of workshops, we have all your artistic interests and budgets covered. From floral arrangements and christmas wreaths, to bouquets and flower crowns, we have a workshop for everyone – no experience necessary!
I attended Rachel’s Floral Masterclass because I had always wanted to attend a flower arranging workshop and never had.
The workshop was held just out of Canberra at Collector. The drive out was lovely and arriving at Rachel’s home we were greeted with an excited and enthusiastic Rachel.
She demonstrated how to create an arrangement and then we created our own with some tips from Rachel. We all had a selection of flowers and created two arrangements to take home.
We had a lovely high tea and wandered around Rachel and Dean’s property.
If you love flowers, and you love cake, then book yourself into one of Rachel’s Floral Masterclass and High Tea events as soon as she releases them!
We had such a lovely day surrounded by beautiful fresh and fragrant blooms, intercepted by a delicious High Tea, and a delightful tour of the garden and tunnel.
I drove back to Canberra with a full belly, beautiful flowers arranged by me under Rachel’s meticulous tutelage, and lovely memories of a day well spent.
Meet Rachel
Ever since she was a young girl, Rachel has been OBSESSED with flowers. As a child, she grew up playing in fields of roses, building elaborate huts out of nature’s gifts and watching her greenthumb Mum create new life from the most challenging of cuttings. It’s no surprise that Rachel is now a Florist!
With an expansive property to call her own just a short drive from North Canberra, Rachel grows her own roses (she has over 150 so far!) that she spends many happy hours toiling over, talking to and caring for. A lover of the land, Rachel ensures that all the materials she sources and shares in her workshops are done so with respect and reverence to Mother Nature.
Regardless of which workshop you attend, you can expect:
Fresh country air and birdsong that you can soak up while you create
Great company with like-minded women (come alone or bring a friend)
Wholesome and light-hearted FUN!
Delicious teas for you to try (plus high tea at some workshop)
Lots of easy to follow instructions, guidance and support
A rose garden tour (season permitting)
A creative piece of your own to take home!
We Believe In…
Creating artistic pieces with slow flowers that are non toxic, locally produced and grown with love.
Caring for our local community by sourcing food and special little surprise ‘extras’ that come from the hands and hearts of local businesses.
The healing power of nature, fresh country air and the gathering of women.
