Try these delicious biscuits with a heart warming cup of tea.
250 g plain flour
100 g caster sugar
100 g butter, cut into pieces
1 egg white beaten
1 tsp baking powder
1 orange zest
½ cup Dahlia dry petals
Preheat the oven to 180 Celsius. Cover the tray with baking paper and set aside.
Place plain flour, caster sugar, butter, egg, orange zest and baking powder into mixing bowl and stir.
Place extra caster sugar on a plate and dry petals on a second plate.
Pinch a tbsp of dough and roll onto a prepared baking tray and flatten with a fork into a round biscuit shape, Repeat with remaining dough.
Take a pastry brush and very gently brush some beaten egg white onto the biscuit where you want the flower petals to go. Add Petals.
Bake for 20 minutes (180 C) or until light golden colour.
Allow to cool on a rack.
