Autumn Blooms Workshop

We’re delighted to invite you to a special flower arranging workshop, Autumn Blooms, presented in partnership with Mood Creative Studio in Canberra.

Your morning will begin with a live floral demonstration by award-winning grower, florist, and owner Rachel Torrealba of Collector Cottage. Rachel will share her signature approach to natural, garden-inspired arranging, along with tips on working with seasonal blooms.

You’ll then create your own beautiful arrangement to take home, using stunning dahlias and a curated selection of fresh seasonal flowers – all specially grown and hand-harvested from Rachel’s micro flower farm in Collector.

To make the experience even more special, each attendee will receive a professionally captured portrait with their finished floral creation, photographed by Tracey in the studio. You’ll receive your beautifully edited digital image via email a few days after the workshop – perfect as a keepsake, for sharing, or for use in your personal or business branding.

Then relax and enjoy a delicious morning tea together featuring a thoughtful selection of teas and treats made by local artisans.

Spend a slow and creative morning with us at Mood Creative Studio, surrounded by beautiful Collector Cottage flowers, natural light, and good company.

I attended Rachel’s Floral Masterclass because I had always wanted to attend a flower arranging workshop and never had.

The workshop was held just out of Canberra at Collector. The drive out was lovely and arriving at Rachel’s home we were greeted with an excited and enthusiastic Rachel.

She demonstrated how to create an arrangement and then we created our own with some tips from Rachel. We all had a selection of flowers and created two arrangements to take home.

We had a lovely high tea and wandered around Rachel and Dean’s property.

Summing up, I really had a lovely afternoon and learnt some new skills.
I would highly recommend going along to Collector Cottage and having a fun experience with Rachel.

Meet Rachel

Ever since she was a young girl, Rachel has been OBSESSED with flowers. As a child, she grew up playing in fields of roses, building elaborate huts out of nature’s gifts and watching her greenthumb Mum create new life from the most challenging of cuttings. It’s no surprise that Rachel is now a Florist!

With an expansive property to call her own just a short drive from North Canberra, Rachel grows her own roses (she has over 150 so far!) that she spends many happy hours toiling over, talking to and caring for. A lover of the land, Rachel ensures that all the materials she sources and shares in her workshops are done so with respect and reverence to Mother Nature.

Collector Cottage is absolutely beautiful!!
I’ve had the pleasure of spending a wonderful sun-filled happy day with Rachel!
Rachel’s Classes, “Flower Arranging and High Tea” are absolutely divine and second to none! Rachel is so knowledgeable on the area of her piece of paradise and she prides herself on sharing everything there is to know about flowers of all kinds!
It definitely left an imprint on me!
I will be looking forward to another amazing day soon!
You really can’t stop at one!
